Okay so I lied when I said I would do a Valentine's day post the night after...I really lied, didn't I? Here we are two and a half weeks later and I am just getting around to it. On top of that, I have no way to post pictures from this computer and I don't have my camera with me anyways. So I am really sorry. Let's do a quick recap shall we?
V Day.
Valentine's day was like Christmas all day long for me! I had something fun planned for Brandon when we got home from work and couldn't wait to get off work early to go set it up! First, when I got home, I was greeted by a dozen roses and two boxes of milk duds. It was a nice surprise, and a nice little snack! My idea for Brandon was a "follow the string" scavenger hunt type thing. I started a piece of string at our front door and had it weave all through the house and little notes at special parts of our apartment. I had him turn on a lovey playlist, change in to fancy clothes, light some candles, and then the string led him to Costa Vida in the oven! Meanwhile, I was hiding out in the bathtub waiting to hear the oven door to close so I could come out. It went really well! Except my adorable little demon cat couldn't control herself and kept making the string fall. It was a crisis. Anyways, after dinner we went and saw a play called Slipper and the Rose. It is the British version of Cinderella, and sadly, wasn't that great. Brandon also gave me a painting of the Eiffel Tower because I have been wanting one for the guest bedroom. It was a very fun day, and I am so excited that I get to have the same Valentine forever!!
6 Month Anniversary
Monday this week was our six month anniversary!! It was so nice to have a long three day weekend, and it was perfect that we had Monday off so we could celebrate! Brandon worked from 8 am until 2, which was good for me because I needed to study! When he got off work, we went and saw the movie This Means War and loved it! Afterwards we went to Olive Garden (thanks to my parents) then went home and watched Cake Boss for a little bit. We decided to go get a pre Bachelor treat at Coldstone (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) then plopped down on the couch for two glorious hours to watch the most addicting reality tv show I have ever watched. It was such a nice relaxing day on top of a fun, relaxing weekend! I can't believe that six months has gone by already. It has gone by quickly, but we agree that it feels so natural that it seems like it has been longer! Oh marriage...I definitely recommend it.
The Weekend
So not all of you may know this, but my best friend from high school, Jennica, and I had not seen each other for over a year and a half, until this weekend! Brandon and I left for Provo Friday night right after I got off work to go stay with Jennica and her husband Rusty! It was so much fun, and I definitely had no reason to be nervous (even though I was, a lot). It was just like old times and everyone got along really well! Brandon and Rusty are very similar so it was fun to watch them bond and talk about guy things. Friday night we just hung out and chatted for a while, went on a Taco Bell run for old times sake, and bought food for a big breakfast the next day. Saturday we ate our huge, delicious breakfast, went to a nickel arcade, checked out a house Jennica and Rusty are trying to buy, then went to a place called Sammy's where they make milkshakes with pie and ice cream! It was such a fun day, and I was sad that we had to leave the next day. People always say that you don't really know what you have until its gone, and I do think that is the case. More often though, I think you don't really know what you had until you lose it, then gain it back. Not seeing Jennica for so long was just a natural thing, but just spending two days with her was enough to realize what we both have missed out on. We definitely won't let that much time pass before we see her again!!
Other news.
Ha. That was a joke. There is none. My parents are coming up next weekend and I am WAY STOKED for them to see our cute little apartment and to just be here! This weekend we are spending all Saturday fixing up the apartment and making it parent ready so my family will love it when they get here. My birthday is next Saturday and I thought about having both our families go up to Brandon's parent's cabin, but I think I decided to just stay in town and do something fun. I want to go see The Lorax, go to a Mexican restaurant for dinner, and who knows what else! I am just excited to play Mario Kart with my brothers face to face rather than playing and talking through Skype! That is all for now! Love you all!
